Dennis F. Sullivan and Mary Ellen (née Malone) Sullivan;
date taken unknown; from Family Records
Dennis Sullivan’s life has many chapters. He grows up on a farm on the shore of Lake Huron. When he turns twenty-five, he immigrates to the U.S. in search of opportunity. He works perhaps a few odd jobs in the mining towns of Colorado before settling on the occupation of saloonkeeper. He is always described as friendly, good-natured and easy to talk to and he builds a wide network of business partners that are critical to his successes and failures.
Throughout his life Dennis has challenges – and even defeats – but he continues. He finds opportunities, he makes opportunities and he thrives.
